The short version

  1. Everything you make with Shotpop belongs to you.

    We claim no rights over it. We could not claim any if we wanted to — your images never reach us.

  2. Apple handles all money.

    Purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds go through your Apple Account. We cannot cancel a subscription for you, and we cannot issue a refund.

  3. Use it for lawful things, and check your own exports.

    Auto-redaction is a strong helper, not a guarantee. Look at an image before you publish it.

These terms are the agreement between you and the publisher of Shotpop ("Shotpop", "we", "us") covering your use of the Shotpop iPhone app and this website. They are deliberately short. Anything that does not apply to this app has been left out rather than padded in.

1. The agreement

By downloading or using Shotpop, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app — and if you have already bought something, see Refunds.

Shotpop is an iPhone app. It requires iOS 18 or later. It is not published for iPad, Mac or any other platform.

Shotpop is published by Harimurti Technologies, Surat, Gujarat, India — the counterparty to these terms.

2. Your licence to use Shotpop

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Shotpop on Apple devices you own or control, in line with Apple's App Store Terms of Service. You may use it for personal or commercial work — including images you sell, publish, or ship as App Store screenshots.

You may not:

  • copy, sell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the app itself;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where local law expressly permits that despite this restriction;
  • remove or obscure any notice inside the app;
  • work around the purchase, entitlement or advertising mechanisms — for example, to obtain Pro features without paying for them.

The app, its name, its design, its templates and its gradient presets remain ours. Your licence does not transfer ownership of any of that.

3. Your content is yours

You own the screenshots, photos and designs you create with Shotpop. We claim no ownership, no licence, and no right to use, display, reproduce or train on them.

This is not a promise we have to be trusted on — it is a fact about how the app is built. Shotpop has no image upload and no server of ours to upload to. Your work is processed on your device and stays on your device, backed up through your own private iCloud database, which we cannot read. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

Because your content is yours, so is responsibility for it. You confirm that you have the rights to the images you bring into the app, and that what you create with them does not infringe anyone else's rights or break the law where you are.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use Shotpop to:

  • break the law, or help someone else break it;
  • infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy or any other right of another person;
  • create material that harasses, defames or endangers someone;
  • fabricate an image that is presented as a genuine record — a real receipt, a real message thread, a real bank balance, a real official document — in order to deceive someone.

About the privacy tools. Auto-redaction reads your screenshot on the device and covers what it recognises as sensitive — emails, card numbers, keys. Blur, pixelate and spotlight do what you tell them to. These are good tools, but no automatic system catches everything, and no obscuring effect is guaranteed to be irreversible. Always look at an export before you share it. You are responsible for what you publish.

5. The free tier, ads and the watermark

Shotpop is free to download and free to use. On the free tier:

  • exports carry a small Shotpop watermark;
  • there is a daily export allowance, which is set remotely and may change;
  • the app shows advertising — a banner, native ads, occasional full-screen interstitials, and an optional rewarded video you can choose to watch for extra exports;
  • some backgrounds, frames, templates and filters are reserved for Pro.

Ads are supplied by third-party networks. We do not control which specific ad you are shown. What advertisers learn about you is covered in the Privacy Policy.

6. Shotpop Pro

Pro removes the watermark, removes the daily export limit, turns off all advertising, and unlocks every background, frame, template and filter.

Prices

Monthly
$4.99 USD / month — auto-renewing
Yearly
$24.99 USD / year — auto-renewing
Lifetime
$49.99 USD — one-time, does not renew

Prices shown are for the United States App Store. Your local price and currency are set by Apple's pricing for your region, and the App Store shows you the exact amount before you confirm.

Auto-renewing subscriptions

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You cancel through Apple, not through us: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Shotpop → Cancel Subscription. We have no ability to cancel a subscription on your behalf — Apple does not give developers that control.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. Pro stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the App Store first.

The lifetime purchase

Lifetime is a one-time purchase that does not renew and is never billed again. It unlocks Pro on the Apple Account that bought it, and can be restored on your other devices with "Restore purchases" in Settings → Subscription.

To be straight about the word: "lifetime" means the working life of the Shotpop app — for as long as we publish and support it. It is not a promise that any software runs forever, and it does not cover a different future product.

7. Refunds

All Shotpop purchases are made through Apple, so all refunds are handled by Apple. We cannot issue, approve or deny one. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, or through iOS Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → Purchase History.

Your statutory rights — including EU and UK withdrawal rights on digital purchases — are unaffected by anything here, and are exercised through Apple as the seller.

If a purchase failed, charged you twice, or did not unlock, email hello@shotpop.app. We can help you sort out the entitlement side even though we cannot touch the money.

8. Third-party content and trademarks

  • Stock photos. Backgrounds you pull in through the stock photo picker come from Unsplash and Pexels and remain subject to those providers' licences and attribution rules. Read them before commercial use.
  • Device frames. Shotpop's frames are stylised illustrations of device shapes. iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro are trademarks of Apple Inc.; Pixel is a trademark of Google LLC. Shotpop is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple, Google, or any other device maker.
  • Linked services. The app and this site link to services we do not run. Their terms are theirs.

9. Availability and changes

We may add, change or remove features, and we may adjust remotely-configured values such as ad frequency and the free daily export allowance. We may stop publishing the app. If Pro features are materially reduced during a period you have paid for, contact us and we will help you get a refund through Apple.

Some parts of the app need an internet connection — ads and purchase verification, and stock photo search if it is enabled in a later release. Editing and export do not.

10. Disclaimers

Shotpop is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that auto-redaction will find every piece of sensitive information, or that a redaction will be irreversible against a determined attacker. We are not responsible for the loss of a project — keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. Where that is the case, this section applies only as far as the law allows.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of Shotpop.

Our total liability for any claim relating to Shotpop is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

12. Termination

You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the app. Cancel any subscription through the App Store first — deleting the app does not stop billing.

We may end your licence if you materially breach these terms, in particular the acceptable use section. Sections that by their nature survive — your ownership of your content, disclaimers, liability limits and governing law — survive termination.

13. Apple-specific terms

Because Shotpop is distributed through the App Store:

  • This agreement is between you and us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Shotpop. Support comes from us, at hello@shotpop.app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal non-conformity, or consumer protection claims.
  • Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending or resolving any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
  • You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Apple's own Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies. Where it conflicts with these terms on a point it covers, the stricter obligation applies.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "last updated" date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use Shotpop after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, stop using the app and cancel any subscription through the App Store.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Surat, Gujarat have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings there.

16. Contact

Questions about any of this?

Terms should be answerable by a person, not just a document. Ask and we will answer in plain words.
